There are many reasons why India was chosen as the next stop on Will and Kate’s Royal Tour. For one, India is a Commonwealth country, which means that it is part of the 54-member organization of nations that recognize Queen Elizabeth II as their head of state. India is also home to 1.3 billion people, making it the second most populous country in the world after China.
Will and Kate’s tour will focus on promoting strong ties between the UK and India, as well as showcasing some of the best that both countries have to offer. They will be spending time in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Agra, and Kaziranga National Park, where they will learn about local culture and meet with young entrepreneurs and conservationists.
What Will They Be Doing?
The British royals will tour India from April 10-16, according to the Kensington Palace Twitter account.
This will be their first official tour as a married couple, and they will visit Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, and Kaziranga National Park.
During their stay, they will meet with Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Theresa May, President Pranab Mukherjee, filmstars, business leaders, and young entrepreneurs.
They will also attend a reception for Commonwealth leaders, visit the Taj Mahal, and participate in various sporting events.
What Will They Wear?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will tour India from April 10-16, and the fashion world is wondering what the royal couple will wear.
Since India is a country with a diverse range of cultures and religions, it’s important for the royals to be mindful of their attire. For example, they will likely avoid anything too revealing out of respect for the more conservative Indian culture.
We can expect to see Will and Kate in a mix of traditional and modern clothing as they visit some of India’s most famous landmarks. They will also be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, as temperatures in April can reach over 30 degrees Celsius!
