The News App

How to Use Apple News
Apple News is a free news app that delivers breaking news and top stories from trusted sources right to your iPhone or iPad. You can customize your Apple News experience to stay up-to-date on the topics and channels that matter most to you. In this article, we’ll show you how to use Apple News.
Adding and Deleting Channels
In the Channels tab, tap Edit. To add a channel, tap Add Channel. To remove a channel, tap the X next to it.
You can also add or delete channels in the For You tab by tapping … next to a channel, then tapping Remove.
You can adjust some of the settings for Apple News to better suit your needs. To access these settings, open the app and tap the Profile icon in the upper-left corner. Then,tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
On the Settings screen, you can turn on or off Handoff, which allows you to continue reading an article on another device (like your Mac) if you started reading it on your iPhone. You can also choose whether or not to receive notifications from Apple News, and how often you want the app to refresh its content.
If you scroll down on the Settings screen, you’ll see a list of your favorite channels and topics. Here, you can reorder your channels by tapping and holding on the three lines to the right of each one, then dragging it up or down. You can also tap the red minus sign next to any channel or topic to remove it from your favorites.
